M.I.B. Multiple Insert Bolt System

The M.I.B. fork plate is applied for all three of the Style-A, Style-F, and One models. Although there are some differences among them (for example, chromium molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel is used only on the fork and plate of the One model), the three models all offer the multiple-setting system for the flex value and the torsion value based on movement of the multi insert bolts. Style-A and Style-F continue to evolve by also applying the Flexible Frame System (F.F.S.) adopted as standard equipment from the past.

Style-R M.I.B.

Style-R M.I.B. adopts a special ten-hole plate for even finer setting and accommodation of all sorts of riding situations. Get the new Style-R and discover new riding with a special setting all your own! (The Style-R M.I.B. is available only with certain frame kits this season.)

Change in torsion and flex by varying the attachment position

Available again this season, the Multiple Insert Bolt (M.I.B.) System enables close accommodation of multiple riding styles through settings based on various combinations of flex and torsion values. It is landmark system that offers a soft or hard ride with a mere change of position.

  • Changing the flex value

Riders can easily change the flex value to suit the condition of the course and snow, merely by moving the insert bolts backward or forward. By so doing, they can get the best position for the constantly changing snow surface. Flex adjustment has a big effect particularly for handling recoil from the snow surface.

  • Changing the torsion value

Riders can also change the torsion value by moving the insert bolts further to the inside or the outside, in the same way as for changing the flex value. Torsion adjustment is highly effective in the aspects of cornering and direction changes.

  • You can change the flex value on the same board!

    Small amount of deformation flex

    High amount of deformation flex

Advanced Line, Ultimate Line fork

Short fork arm

The arm is shorter than on the conventional front fork. This step facilitates adjustment of the front and rear board height and broadens the range of settings to cope with various conditions. It also enables riders to experience rides they never before had.

Fork integrating the ball race

The fork column has a design integrating the ball race part and was cut out with computerized numerical control (CNC). This completely eliminates the need for pressure fitting when changing bearings, beginning with the 2010 models, and also dramatically improves maintainability. In addition, the arm weld on the bottom of the fork column was made thicker for greater strength and rigidity.

Line Up

Thanks to the revival of the Ultimate Line and the abundance of variations with the Advanced Line and the Basic Line, the assortment of Snowscoot 2010/2011 models provide a choice of specifications adapted to all sorts of needs. Style-R has been added to the lineup as a frame kit and makes up the Ultimate Line together with the Nico Signature Board. The Style-A/F Advanced Line offers a lineup of eight models based on different levels of board flex. It gives riders a choice of two frame colors and three types of flex: soft (A/F), medium (A), and hard (F). Models in the Basic Line designed with beginners in mind come in three frame sizes (One, Compact, and Mini) while sharing the same basic design.
