What is Snowscooting?

Snowscooting is a unique winter sport with boundless possibilities, combining the unrestricted movement of BMX and the speed of snowboarding.

A Snowscoot comprises a BMX-type frame and handlebars, without a saddle, and separate front and rear boards. Standing on the frame deck with feet side by side, the rider can turn the front board right or left with the handlebars – just like riding a bicycle or motorbike – shifting his or her weight while turning. The boards are wide enough to be stable and the legs are not anchored to the boards. Snowscooting can be fully enjoyed after only a few hours of basic practice – indeed, one of its major attractions. Currently, there are about 350 ski slopes around the country that permit Snowscooting, and the number grows every year. Not only ski and snowboard enthusiasts, but people active in non-winter sports like BMX, MTB and motocross, are experiencing the fun of Snowscooting in winter.
